Gasthof Kalteis

Description
The bright red fruits of the dirndl bush characterize the Pielach Valley. They represent a piece of the Mostviertel and are omnipresent at Gasthaus Kalteis. Guests will not only find the "Dirndln" on the menu, but also on the restaurant's own shop shelves. The country inn in Kirchberg has been run by Sonja and Hubert Kalteis since 2005. Located directly on the Pielachtal cycle path, it impresses with its regional food and drink offerings. The Highland Cattle Weeks are one of the culinary highlights in late summer. The meat comes from the Hardegg cattle farm. A promise of quality on the plate. The range of Mostviertel juices and the well-stocked wine and schnapps menu provide an extensive selection.
The Mostviertel on your plate
Gasthaus Kalteis is a contemporary version of a traditional inn. The Hirschenstüberl is decorated in a country house style. The tiled stove parlors exude rustic charm. Always popular: a seat in the shady pub garden under the large lime tree. Regardless of which dish guests choose, the cuisine cleverly showcases the Mostviertel region. The freshly caught trout from the Soiserbach is prepared "Müllerinnen style" and served with roast potatoes and garlic butter. Sonja Kalteis is responsible for looking after the guests. Friendliness and competence go hand in hand with her. Another way to extend the enjoyable hours is to spend a night in the inn's riverbed and continue feasting the next day.
