Description

Throughout the year, the Gasthof zur Post in Texingtal offers various delicacies and specialty weeks. This gives the regional and down-to-earth menu a welcome change. The inn is run by the Haselsteiner-Huber family, now in its fourth generation. The traditional inn is known for its lovingly prepared home cooking. The kitchen team use their own fruit, herb and vegetable garden as a fruity and spicy basis for their dishes. Fish, lamb, beef and pork are supplied by producers from the Melk district. In terms of taste, the stuffed roast beef with pot soufflé and bacon beans is at its best. The spicy stuffed turkey rolls with noodles and roasted vegetables are also highly recommended.

This is how it tastes in Texingtal

Landlady Petra Haselsteiner has been in charge of the Gasthof zur Post since 2009. The patroness of the establishment sets the tone and impressively embodies the values of Lower Austrian inn culture. The high quality standards for food, drink and ambience ensure that it is not just locals who keep coming back to the inn. In addition to the historic Wirtshaus-Stüberl, the Festsaal is often chosen for larger events. After all, it offers space for up to 400 people. The rooms are flooded with light and alternate between rustic and elegant. The covered garden lounge also invites you to linger. The ambience is perfected by harmonious decorative elements adapted to the seasons.
