Geländehütte

Lodge / hut, Tavern / inn

Description

The three-metre tall bear statue does not stand in front of the hut for guard purposes, but as a reference to the nearby bear cave, which owes its name to numerous finds of cave bear bones. However, this is not the only reason for the ascent to the 1,023-metre-high "terrain" at the western end of the Hohe Wand. The Postl family's homemade Cider is just as worthy of mention as the 360-degree panoramic view across the southern Vienna Basin to the Pannonian Plain.

Opening hours: from Easter - June 30 and August 22 - November 29 on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays

Overnight stay (beds / campsites): Overnight stays only possible for groups of approx. 15 people. Please book in advance.
