Description

The Hawlik family from Bad Vöslau focused on the pleasure component when naming "Hawlik's Schlemmereck" back in 1978. The creative, down-to-earth cuisine offers everything that guests would expect from typical tavern fare. For the most part, products from the Vienna Woods thermal region are used. The game specialties in particular are truly a poem: the saddle of venison steak with green pepper sauce, roasted grammel potato roulade and grilled vegetables is hard to beat. Vegetarians will be impressed by the homemade cream cheese pasta dumplings with Waldviertel poppy seed pesto.

Feasting as a basic need

The seasonal menu at Hawlik's Schlemmereck is cleverly combined with a good selection of wines. Wine has a long tradition at the restaurant. The best varieties from the Vienna Woods are served à la carte or as part of the gourmet wine menus. But the competition is strong. Around 130 national and international wines appear on the menu. The perfectly trained service staff are happy to provide advice, including on the attractive range of whiskeys and spirits. The guests are as diverse as the taste experiences in the pub. Locals, day trippers, families and couples sit table to table with one common goal: to feast and enjoy.
