  • Lower Austrian inn culture

Description

Guests in Purgstall in the district of Scheibbs experience an unusual visit to an inn. The Hochrieß inn was built in 1977 in the wooded hills of the Mostviertel region. In the middle of a 23-hectare game park, the brothers Matthias and Philipp Distelberger run more than just an inn. It is a tranquil square farm with a rustic and cozy atmosphere. Game specialties are on the menu all year round. The aromatic roast venison ends up on the plate together with thick root juice and homemade dumplings. A good choice. This also applies to the traditional Mostviertel main course and dessert variations.

A beastly good inn

The inn is located in the middle of a game park. Local game can be observed up close here. 2 large adventure playgrounds offer plenty of space for wild romping and game specialties can be enjoyed all year round. As a member of "Urlaub am Bauernhof in Österreich", the farm also offers guests comfortable overnight accommodation. In the "farm school", children gain valuable insights into farming.
