Klostergasthaus Thallern

Description
Passing through the arched gateway to the driveway of the monastery complex gives you an impressive foretaste of the hours to come. Klostergasthaus Thallern is located in the heart of the Vienna Woods thermal region, right next to one of Austria's oldest and most traditional wineries, Freigut Thallern. This prime vinophile location is of course also reflected in the wine list, which impresses with indigenous grape varieties such as Rotgipfler and Zierfandler. But Florian Fritz's tavern offers more than just fine wines. In addition to the tempting tasting menus, the oven-fresh farmer's duck with red cabbage and napkin dumplings makes guests go into raptures. The crispy free-range chicken is also legendary.
From wine and tavern culture
Like the regional wine culture, the origins of the hotel go way back into the past. Klostergasthof Thallern has been a place of hospitality for more than 350 years - and that is exactly how it should remain in the future. The country inn has been carefully renovated over the last few years. Today, with its cozy parlor and guest garden, it has a contemporary feel, combining tradition with a modern zeitgeist. Great importance is attached to the use of high-quality basic products at every level - and you can taste, see and feel this.
