Weinbau Proisl

Heuriger wine tavern

Description

The market judge's house

The chronicle of the house at Wienerstraße 6 in Gumpoldskirchen reports that several market judges lived in this house, which has been owned by our family since 1882. Winegrowing has probably been practised in this house for centuries. An old tree wine press is still in use today and, in addition to the excellent locations of our vineyards, the gentle pressing process provides one of the ideal conditions for good wine.

Weinbau Proisl is a small but fine family business that has been run for generations in the heart of the Thermenregion, in the center of Gumpoldskirchen. The farm's vineyards are home to varieties such as Riesling, Chardonnay and, of course, the typical varieties of the Thermenregion, Rotgipfler and Zierfandler. The wines that are vinified here are a true testament to the quality and character of the region. The passion and dedication with which these wines are produced can be felt in every sip. The famous writer Kurt Tucholsky once said: 'It's a pity you can't caress wine'. This quote could not be more apt when looking at the wines of Weinbau Proisl. They are more than just drinks, they are an experience to be enjoyed with all the senses. A visit to Weinbau Proisl is a journey into the world of wine, an opportunity to discover the art of winemaking and experience the beauty of the Thermenregion.
