Thomas Reinisch has a mission: to bring the taste of the Vienna Woods to your plate and glass. At Johanneshof in Tattendorf, he has more than succeeded. Restaurant Thomas is the setting for the Reinisch family's excellent wines and food creations. The special thing about the upscale tavern cuisine of (head) chef Thomas and his team are the seasons that dominate the menu. The menu is re-curated every four weeks. Surprising moments of indulgence complement tried and tested classics. The stuffed paprika is well known to regular guests and is a must at any time of year. The beluga lentil ragout is prepared vegan and the crispy fried fish fillet is served according to the catch of the day. Thomas Reinisch and his team are masters of their craft and pay attention to a regionally sustainable and respectful approach to food. The Weingarten lamb is reared on their own farm - potatoes, pumpkin and rhubarb come from the surrounding Tattendorf farms.
Tasteful idyll in the vineyard
In addition to the Johnneshof Reinisch winery, which is run by the fourth generation, son Thomas Reinisch has been running the Thomas restaurant at Johanneshof since 2022. The kitchen line is impressive and has already been awarded 2 toques. The quiet location directly at the winery is unique. The highlight: the idyllic garden with terrace by the biotope and magnificent views. The vineyard view also characterizes the light-flooded dining room with its rustic and cosy high wooden beams. The restaurant offers an exquisite overall experience and an atmospheric setting for weddings and celebrations. The seminar room can accommodate around 20 people.
