Voralpenhof Hofegger
Tavern / innThis business is excellent…
Description
There is little point in resisting the temptations at Voralpenhof Hofegger. The down-to-earth and seasonal tavern cuisine is just too good. Petra and Josef Hofegger's traditional inn is located around 200 meters from the Mariazell train station and offers a regional fruit a big stage - the cornelian cherry. It is widely known as the Dirndl fruit, which gives the dishes in the inn a special flavor. The Mostviertler Dirndl cordon-bleu is hard to pass up on the menu. Filled with smoked meat, cheese, onions and Pielachtal organic mushrooms, it is a mixture of the best of the region. The pike-perch fillet is grilled to perfection and served on the plate. It is served with vegetables, potatoes and herb sauce. The inviting selection of beer and wine should not go unmentioned.
The fruit and the tavern
There seem to be no limits to the variety of Dirndl at Voralpenhof Hofegger in Frankenfels in the beautiful Pielach Valley. And to be honest, that would be a shame. The juices, jams and chutneys are memorable delicacies. The Hofegger family's healthy wild fruit grows and thrives magnificently in the inn's garden. Seasonal herbs are taken from the raised bed. It is striking: Independence is seen as a valuable asset in this energy self-sufficient inn on the Dirndl Mile. A small hydroelectric power station ensures that the lights never go out in the cozy parlor or ballroom. The service staff are also full of energy. Friendly and always with a smile on their faces, they spoil their guests.
