Winemaker Birgit Pferschy-Seper strikes a balance between the old and the new in both the winery and the wine tavern.
The winery, which has been in existence since 1718, cultivates regional grape varieties and has been working with organic cultivation since 2003.
In summer, the idyllic garden with its old trees invites you to linger. In our Heurigen restaurant, cozy parlors and alcoves offer the perfect atmosphere for an enjoyable Heurigen evening. Even Crown Prince Rudolf appreciated this, and enjoyed stopping off in Mödling on his way between his hunting lodge in Mayerling and the Vienna Hofburg. His visit to our winery is documented by the diary entries of his coachman "Bratfisch".
"... Rudolf and Mizzi often visited Bratfisch in his apartment in the evening and ate hearty home cooking there. The three of them would then set off to a wine tavern on the outskirts of the city, where Bratfisch would sing or whistle folk songs, sometimes even a couplet that Rudolf had written for Mizzi: "Das hat kan Göthe gschriebn, das hat ka Schiller dicht...." Old traditions are also preserved at the wine tavern, e.g. the sumptuous wine tavern buffet, but attempts are also made to meet modern requirements, such as the conscious selection of regional suppliers or the organization of cultural events. One of the most pleasant aspects of the innovations is that children also look forward to a visit to the Heurigen, with a large play area, swings, slide, climbing frame and petting zoo waiting for them.

An adventure day with young winemaker Anna Seper where you can get to know viticulture from a very personal perspective. Perfect for anyone who has always wanted to take a look behind the scenes of viticulture and has long wondered how to properly care for their vines in the garden.
A varied day on which we set off together into the world of winegrowers. The focus is on practical relevance and fun, followed by a tasting of our organic wines in our new presentation room "Wein im Stock".
