The Urbanushof is located in the center of the historic village of Oberloiben. Nestled against the neighboring courtyards, it blends into the picturesque surroundings with its traditional architecture. A place, a house to feel at home in. And the foundation of a long wine-growing tradition. Its origins can be traced back to 1696.
The Stierschneider family has been cultivating the Urbanushof since then; for centuries as winegrowers and since the middle of the 20th century, the wines have been bottled. Regardless of the variety, the aim is to bring out the fruit, freshness and character of each vintage to perfection. In the cellar, the family restricts itself to "controlled idleness", to the unobtrusive accompaniment of a gentle maturing process. Paul Stierschneider's wine is a natural product that stands for its region of origin and unites its characteristics.
