Winery Schabasser

Heuriger wine tavern, Heuriger wine taverns

This business is excellent…

  • Winestreet

Description

The winery is located in Eichberg's Kellergasse, where four to six times a year the wines are served in a cosy atmosphere, accompanied by traditional, cold Heurigen delicacies. Around 20 hectares of vineyards are cultivated and the variety of wines is naturally correspondingly large. It ranges from fragrant Muskateller-Frizzante to DAC-Veltliner and Rieslings to a remarkable range of red wines. The foundation stone for the business was laid by senior boss Leopold Schabasser and his wife Hilda, who founded the wine tavern in 1975. Today, this tradition is continued by Werner Schabasser, who graduated from the Krems School of Viticulture in 1994 with the title of ‘Master of Wine and Cellar’, and his wife Gabriele, who trained as a ‘Traisental Wine Guide’ in 2006. With their children Verena, Lena and Werner, the next generation is already waiting in the wings to ensure continuity.
