Pernersdorf

The market town of Pernersdorf in the district of Hollabrunn - nestled in the hilly landscape of the Pulkau Valley - comprises the districts of Pernersdorf, Peigarten, Pfaffendorf- Karlsdorf and Ragelsdorf. The villages are so-called street villages, which means that rows of houses have been built along both sides of the road.

The Weinviertel region is dominated by vineyards and fields - making it ideal for quiet family breaks, short vacations not far from the big city of Vienna and exploring nature over hill and dale. The easy paths are ideal for walks, short hikes and extended bike tours.

Pernersdorf: Rocky vineyard & picnic in the Pulkau valley

Numerous traditional wineries and wine taverns take care of the physical well-being of their visitors. The Weingarten.rocks Buschenschank (typical tavern) combines modern wine architecture with Mother Nature. The Weinviertel picnic hosts are also a great idea: in Pernersdorf, Gasthof Raymund packs a picnic basket for its guests.

Sacred eye-catcher in Pernersdorf: St. Radegund church

The late Romanesque daughter church of St. Radegund is probably one of the oldest churches in the central Pulkau valley. The cemetery surrounding the church is adjoined by an idyllic ensemble of cellars: the so-called "Peregriniplatzl". The press houses, shaded by dense trees, form a semicircle that becomes the setting for the traditional Peregrini festival every summer.
