The market town of Grafenbach-Sankt Valentin is located in the district of Neunkirchen - southwest of Ternitz in the Schwarzatal valley. The municipality includes the villages of Göttschach and Grafenbach as well as Ober-Danegg, Penk and St. Valentin-Landschach.
