Wine tasting in a stylish ambience

Top-class wine experiences and modern wine architecture in Lower Austria's wine shop district and 'worlds of wine'.

Lower Austria is one of the winegrowing regions with the highest density of modern winery architecture.

Local wine shops and 'worlds of wine' present their business and products in an innovative outfit. Modern architecture in combination with the advantages of a local wine shop - this is the new concept of the Wagram-based wine shop 'Weritas' and the wine district in Retz. But in the wine region of Lower Austria, it not just wine shops that present their precious treasures in a contemporary look, 'worlds of wine' such the Loisium in Langenlois or Sandgrube 13 in Krems show that wine, as a traditional drink, definitely deserves a contemporary and cool presentation.

Learn about wine in the LOISIUM WeinErlebnisWelt & Vinothek in Langenlois wine experience in a very modern way. Grape juice is creatively celebrated with the use of lighting, sound effects, animations and exhibits. Audio guides are available in English, French, Italian, Spanish, Hungarian, Czech, Polish and Russian.

The Winzer Krems winemaking community also presents the best of Kremser wine in an entertaining way, in Sandgrube 13 wein.sinn. Foreign language tours are only available in English, and with prior reservation.

Beautiful and playful

One of the most beautiful places in the Wachau wine region is the Kellerschlössel in Dürnstein. Here you can taste wines from Domäne Wachau. In the Poysdorfer Vino Versum in the Weinviertel, interactive stations, a museum, and old cellars, wine is celebrated in diverse and interesting ways. The content is also available in two foreign languages – English and Czech.
