Kellergasse "Maulavern" Zellerndorf
Cellar-lined roads
Description
At over one kilometer, this wine cellar lane is one of the longest in the Weinviertel. At the beginning of the wine cellar lane, the cellar museum presents a film about the "grape harvest in the olden days". The Maulavern, with its well-kept press houses
provide an atmospheric backdrop for the annual pumpkin festival in October. The self-service cyclists' rest area is perfect for a short break. Children can play and run around at Riedlplatzl. At the end of the wine cellar lane, you will find the court square from the time of the fiefdom. Today, the Rankl Cross stands here.
The unmistakable charm of the Weinviertel wine cellar lanes can be experienced most impressively on a guided tour.
This provides fascinating insights into their history and the former significance of these special places.
