The two alpine huts on the Mönichkirchner Schwaig are perfectly embedded in the landscape and offer you the opportunity to experience nature in all its splendor.
From your window or the wooden terrace you have a spectacular view of the Bucklige Welt and, in fine weather, as far as Vienna.
And they are an ideal place for children to learn about the animal and plant world, the joy of playing outdoors and the magic of the alpine pasture.
Right next door there is a large playground and an animal highlight. The donkeys on the Schwaig are already well known and are happy to be looked after and stroked by guests of all ages. To round off an exciting and eventful day, there is an atmospheric place for a campfire in the immediate vicinity.
The huts themselves are a harmonious interplay of tradition and comfort. The rustic wooden architecture and the cozy interiors are an absolute feel-good factor.
Light the wood-burning stove and snuggle up in a warm blanket while you enjoy the evening. Perhaps a glass of wine and an Alm-Brett`l-Jaus`n brought to the hut as you wish?
In the well-equipped kitchen you have the option of preparing your own meals, or you can treat yourself to culinary delights right next door at the Berggasthof Mönichkirchner Schwaig.
With a hearty breakfast (to order) from the local Dorfstetter bakery. And with tasty and traditional dishes prepared with love and sourced locally.
The alpine huts are the perfect starting point for hikes on the Schwaig up to the Hochwechsel. Explore the paths of the Schaukelweg or feel the freedom and spaciousness at the summit of the Hochwechsel.
If you prefer a change of pace, take the Haller Route uphill and cruise through the beautiful landscape on the panoramic trails of the Wexl Trails. There is an e-MTB rental service right by the valley station of the Erlebnisalm Mönichkirchen.
In winter, there are opportunities for skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and touring right from the hut.
The unique backdrop and surroundings also create an inspiring atmosphere for seminars, conferences or meetings. The huts and the mountain inn can be booked as seminar rooms, with seminar packages including trainers on various topics on request. Use the surroundings of our huts for team-building activities and outdoor exercises to strengthen group dynamics and promote teamwork.
The huts are easily accessible by car. In extreme snow conditions, the hut manager will pick you up from the Erlebnisalm valley station.
Enjoy the silence and the clear starry sky at night. Unwind and recharge your batteries in the
moon wood hut (approx. 70m2) or the
panorama hut (approx. 50m2) on the Mönichkirchner Schwaig.
