A pretty house in the style of the turn of the century, situated at the entrance to Wilhelmsburg, is home to the Gasthof Franzl. The Franzl family is now in its fourth generation of pampering their guests here: charming and humorous, with down-to-earth regional cuisine, comfortable rooms and imaginative offers.
In addition to the new and lovingly adapted rooms, the parlors and the chestnut garden are popular places to linger. The cuisine focuses on fresh produce from the local area. The beef comes from their own farm, the brother-in-law supplies milk and honey, juices and schnapps.
Tip: Gasthof Franzl is an ideal starting point for cycling tours: choose the pleasure tour to the farm suppliers, find out more about the culture in St. Pölten with the sound tower or take a short mountain tour over the hilly landscape to the eco-village in Eschenau. In the evening, the Franzls will spoil you with regional delicacies.
