The Grüntalkogelhütte in the Türnitz Alps was built and lovingly renovated in 1979. It is located at 886 m on the Grüntalkogel, the highest elevation between the Pielachtal and the Mank. The hut itself is one of the most popular and well-known excursion destinations in the region.

Overnight accommodation for 20 guests in a mattress dormitory makes the hut also interesting for excursions lasting several days. The Grüntalkogelhüte can be reached from St. Gotthard, Plankenstein and from the "Luft" via easy, family-friendly hiking routes and offers a beautiful view over the Texingtal valley.

Opening hours: May 1 to October 26 at weekends

Tour tip:Roman trail 651 through the Melk Alpine foothills
