Gut Herzogberg is situated in a quiet, secluded location on the Sonntagberg and offers sweeping views of the foothills of the Alps, the Ötscher or as far as Linz from every room. The sunsets are particularly atmospheric, reminiscent of an evening by the sea - only in the middle of the Mostviertel.
The farm looks back on a long history. Originally used as a dairy farm, Gut Herzogberg supplied the parsonage on Sonntagberg with food for centuries. The first mentions date back to the early 14th century, when the farm was still called Auffuernsberg and was owned by the Luegsniker family. In 1651, the estate came into the possession of Seitenstetten Abbey through an exchange, to which it remained for a long time.
Today, Gut Herzogberg combines its historical substance with contemporary comfort. The rooms are individually designed and invite you to pause and relax with their unobstructed views of the countryside.
We are happy to offer a classic breakfast on request. The organic eggs are from our own hens and of course our bread and pastries are freshly baked on the premises. Honey from our own apiary, seasonal fruit, cheese and sausage products are delivered fresh from local farms.
Gut Herzogberg also offers the perfect venue for celebrations, weddings and events.
