Description
The Herrgottschnitzerhütte am Wechsel is located at around 1,300 meters above sea level in the municipality of Aspangberg - St. Peter im Wechselland, making it one of the eastern mountain huts in the Alpine arc.
Hikers can reach the Herrgottschnitzer hut in around 1 to 1.5 hours from St. Corona, Unternberg or Aspangberg-St. Peter. The leisurely trail opens up magnificent panoramic views and makes you look forward to the culinary delights.
The hut is also interesting for lovers of rustic cosiness - the original structure has been left almost untouched for over 100 years, which perhaps explains the very special atmosphere at the Herrgottschnitzer-Hut - a decelerated zone that is well worth a hike.
Hikers and nature lovers who want to stay the night will find cozy rooms and a practical camp. Children also feel at home at the Herrgottschnitzerhütte, although a stay over the weekend is recommended.
