Josef Franz Hütte am Geisbühel

Description

At 841 m above sea level, the Josef Franz Hut on the Geisbühel offers relaxation and overnight accommodation in idyllic surroundings. This jewel of the Naturfreunde Rabenstein is open all year round and has a dormitory with 14 beds. A practical self-service drinking fountain awaits thirsty hikers.

The Geisbühel is considered a particularly beautiful flower mountain. The many dirndl bushes on the southern slope (towards Tradigist) have given it the name "1000-Dirndl-Berg". The best place to start crossing the Geisbühel is at the Mariazell cable car stop Tradigist.
