Madar Café & Guesthouse - Tradition in the heart of Melk
The Madar Café, founded in 1894 at the time of the Viennese Ringstrasse cafés, is the oldest coffee house in the district of Melk. It is centrally located directly below Melk Abbey. The Danube boat landing stage and the cycle path are only 300 m away. Schallaburg Castle is 5 km away, Krems is 30 km away and St. Pölten is 25 km away.
Classic Viennese cuisine and Austrian specialties are on offer. The in-house coffee roastery is a member of the Austrian Quality Roasters and only uses high-quality highland beans from fair trade.
