Explore the rolling hills of the Mostviertel with hiking donkeys. Spending time with the animals and enjoying the magnificent landscape—that’s a very special kind of hiking experience and a noticeably relaxing one.
Take in the silence and the symphony of nature.
Listen to the clucking of chickens, the braying of donkeys, and the humming of alpacas. Meet the approximately 70 animals (donkeys, horses, sheep, goats, alpacas, mules, Kunekune pigs, chickens, ducks, budgies, guinea pigs, cats, dogs, and a turtle).
Get to know the farm and its residents better, help out with barn chores, or join us on an animal walk. Feel the dew-kissed grass beneath your feet and experience the morning atmosphere, the liveliness of the day, and the sunsets.
Hike, walk, and bike through a pre-Alpine landscape of meadows, fields, and forests. Or take a day trip to the Erlauf Gorge in Purgstall—seven kilometers from the farm—and experience the unspoiled ecosystem of a river up close.
YOUR STAY
Experience the Esperanzahof in one of our three cozy caravans.
- Chico Farm Wagon—suitable for up to 4 people.
- Circus wagon “Raphael”—ideal for 2 people.
- Sky Travel Trailer – accommodates up to 4 people.
Each caravan is lovingly designed and features a toilet, shower, kitchenette (stove, refrigerator), and a cozy outdoor terrace. The caravans are located in the heart of Esperanza’s outdoor area—our center for animal-assisted education—right next to the courtyard and the human-animal interaction area with our animals.
Additional activities (e.g., donkey hikes) and farm-fresh products (e.g., alpaca hair soaps) can be booked right here on the farm.
And: spend a special time at the Esperanza farm with your own horses. The horse stable, featuring an open barn and a paddock, accommodates 3 horses. The animals are cared for by our animal caretakers by arrangement. You can stay overnight in the immediate vicinity of the horse stable.
