Idyllically situated between the Erlauf river and untouched forests, the Schindlhütte in Urmannsau near Kienberg/Gaming offers guests a true recreational paradise. Hikers and nature lovers are in the right place here. The restaurant is also ideal for family, Christmas and birthday parties. Two 3-bed rooms and one 4-bed room are available for overnight guests. For the sake of sustainability, bed linen is only provided for stays of 2 nights or more. Guests staying 1 night are asked to bring their own sleeping bag or to buy one on site.

The Schindlhütte is not only a popular stopover for pilgrims on the way to Mariazell, but also the perfect starting point for hikes to the Trefflingfall or the Ötscher stalactite cave. The latter can (only) be reached on foot in around 45 minutes. Experienced cyclists can enjoy various challenging mountain bike trails in the surrounding area.

The innkeepers serve lovingly prepared home cooking, fresh fish and various other cold snack delicacies.
