You might be wondering what the Gallien experience is and where it’s located. In short, it’s a small “village” in the heart of the Waldviertel region that has just one goal: to make its guests’ stay as enjoyable, varied, and pleasant as possible.
The Gallien restaurant and recreation center opened in 2004 and is exactly what we envisioned and brought to life as an “experience.” It’s a place where you can pursue your hobbies—whether it’s fishing, hiking, archery, biking, and so on—or simply have a good time, enjoy good food, and reconnect with nature.
An adventure playground awaits—one that’s been thoroughly tested by children and offers plenty of variety and fun; our property is especially well-suited for children and their parents.
Here, you can rent a fishing rod, fish with your own gear, or spend the night in a country cottage with its own wooden hot tub while enjoying some night fishing. Young and old alike can learn to fish at two different ponds here. And if you catch something, you won’t have to worry about dinner: the kitchen team at the main house will be happy to prepare your fresh catch. Wash it down with a beer from our own brewery. In the afternoon, enjoy an ice cream sundae with homemade ice cream. In short: At the Gallien vacation village, you’ll spend an adventurous family vacation—with or without a catch.
Of course, you can also stay overnight in Gallien; our rustic guesthouses, authentic Native American teepees, and campsites are all available for you. Here, you’ll sleep peacefully, surrounded by beautiful scenery and plenty of fresh air.
