Your host, Florian Harmer, is a trained carpenter, furniture designer, interior architect, and artist of life. Seven years ago, I fulfilled my dream of owning my own farmstead in the Waldviertel region.
Hof is the first house in Zabernreith (a village of 20 residents with a central village green), surrounded by forests and meadows. On my property, you’ll find a swimming pond, a sunbathing lawn, and many fruit trees.
My passion, which is reflected in the guesthouse, is combining art with living. I’m a big fan of upcycling and using natural materials—as well as reusing and repurposing all kinds of used items. I live here with my two tame, child-friendly dogs and am working step by step to realize my vision. I cook unconventionally—as I have my whole life—and creative expression and wholesome cuisine are just as important to me as working in a resource-efficient manner on my construction projects. I look forward to your booking and spending time together. I’m happy to share tips on activities, local food producers, and Excursion destinations in the area—and my farm and the surrounding garden are perfect for lingering a while.
