Lookout tower
Description
The observation tower on the Kollnitzberg promises a unique view. The tower construction takes hikers up 84 steps to the spacious viewing platform at a height of 16.8 meters.
On clear days, guests are treated to a panoramic view from various viewing platforms, which extends as far as the Grafenschlager wind turbines and offers an Alpine foothills panorama of around 250 km from the Rax-Schneeberg to the Haller Mauern.
The lookout point on the Kollnitzberg can be reached on foot in approx. 20 minutes from the center of Münichreith via the "tut gut" hiking trail Route 1 or the Kollnitzberg circular hiking trail No. 52. It is also possible to drive to the nearby parking lot at the sports field in Kollnitz and walk the remaining distance (approx. 650 m) from there.
