The Leading Golf Course Diamond Club Ottenstein
Golf
Description
Nature and enjoyment
Is there a more beautiful place to play golf than in the hills of the Waldviertel Mitte region, between forests and streams, ponds and blossoming poppy and rapeseed fields?
Narrow streams and idyllic natural ponds give this 18-hole championship course its special character. The golf course has been included in the illustrious circle of "The Leading Golf Courses" since 2021. The character of the course guarantees plenty of variety and natural beauty: open meadows, dense forests and a hilly landscape.
The first nine holes of the Diamond Club Ottenstein, designed by architect Keith Preston, were opened in 1991. In 1995, architect Hans-Georg Erhardt designed and realized the second nine. The course offers some memorable holes and six greens with water hazards. Come and see for yourself - we look forward to your visit.
The golf academy under the direction of Head Pro Andreas Lauss offers you not only classic beginners' courses but also taster and perfection lessons on spacious practice facilities.
In the "best golf restaurant of the year 2011, 2012, 2015 and 2022", the Herbert & Monika Hettegger restaurant, you can round off your day's golfing. A culinary experience with a view over the golf course and the Waldviertel landscape awaits you. Attractive hotel packages and numerous excursion destinations in the surrounding area invite you to extend your stay.
