A lifetime of Schiele
The Egon Schiele Museum in Tulln has been dedicated to the life and early work of the world-famous artist since 1990. Presented in the former district prison, it was modernized in 2018 to mark the 100th anniversary of his death and has been barrier-free accessible ever since - with the exception of the studio. Invitingly designed with a forecourt and playground, the museum offers exciting insights into Schiele's artistic beginnings from April to October.
Public transportation by train & bus:
The journey with the S40 or the regional express (REX) from Vienna Franz-Josefs-Bahnhof takes approx. 20-40 minutes and from St. Pölten approx. 70 minutes. You can find the current timetable here.
