Heilwald Göttweig – wirkt natürlich.

Outdoor adventure

Description

The Göttweig Healing Forest - Austria's first certified healing forest - is a place for anyone who wants to recharge their batteries in nature, strengthen their health and find peace and quiet - free of charge, without registration and for people of all ages. Located in the market town of Paudorf on the Eichberg plateau, the 53-hectare forest landscape offers selected areas specifically designed for exercise, relaxation and mindfulness.

A circular trail leads through the healing forest - past stations to promote coordination, movement and balance as well as awareness and slowing down. Guided exercises invite you to become active or to pause and be mindful. Rest areas create space for relaxation, conscious awareness of nature and deeper breathing. The 145-year-old sequoia trees are particularly impressive - they characterize the atmosphere of this extraordinary place.

In addition, the Göttweig healing forest offers guided formats for all age groups, such as forest bathing, mindfulness-oriented nature experiences, guided forest experiences and events on forest knowledge and other topics - tailored to different needs and target groups. Suitable offers are also available for groups.

The health-promoting and positive effects of the forest - for example on stress reduction, the immune system and mental well-being - have been scientifically proven and form the basis of the entire concept. This is complemented by the spiritual dimension in cooperation with the Göttweig Benedictine Abbey: impulses for silence, meaning and inner contemplation also make the forest a place of personal orientation.

The Göttweig Healing Forest is aimed at health-conscious people of all ages - from the region as well as guests and tourists - and is an innovative model for regional development, health tourism and contemporary health promotion, prevention and therapeutic application in nature.

Austria's first certified healing forest is a joint project of the IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems and the Benedictine Abbey of Göttweig. The natural design and facilities as well as the conscious combination of nature, health and spirituality make it a special place - authentic, open and effective.
