Hochkar ski area

Ski area / lift

Description

Guaranteed snow & family-friendly

It is not for nothing that the Hochkar is considered the highest and most snow-sure alpine center in Eastern Austria, as it lies at 1,300 to 1,800 m above Göstling/Ybbs. The varied pistes attract numerous winter sports enthusiasts to the "Kar" every winter. But children also feel at home on the Hochkar: they can make their first attempts on skis in the Kinderland.

"Freestyle Mecca" of the Eastern Alps

The Hochkar is extremely popular among freeride fans and backcountry junkies: whether it's the "Karwand" or the "Leckerplan": All powder fans can really let off steam on the Hochkar - and without having to "hike" for long. Even experienced Hochkar riders are constantly discovering new elements (rocks, trees, etc.) that can be used as backcountry kickers.
