What you can expect on a ride on the Höllentalbahn:

  • Adventure trips: 3 times a day, you can use the break at each terminus to take part in a guided tour of the electric forming plant in Payerbach or the vehicle depot in Hirschwang - guided tours are included in the train ticket. More about the timetable and guided tour times
  • Train ride and hike: If you like hiking, it's best to take the first train to Hirschwang. From there, you can walk to the Rax cable car in just a few minutes or hike along the 1st Vienna Water Pipeline Trail. Then take the last cable car back to Payerbach-Reichenau.
