Karikaturengarten Brunn am Wald

A garden that combines nature and art in a unique way.

The caricature garden presents caricatured object art made of stone, wood, ceramics and iron as well as constantly changing caricatures by various artists.

The garden was built in the middle of the 16th century as a pleasure garden and laid out in three large terraces supported by the longest dry stone walls in Austria and connected by a grand staircase. Today it is a caricature garden, show garden, recreational garden and a place of strength.

In addition to sunflowers, climbing roses, 250-year-old yew trees and historic fruit varieties, the caricature garden is centered around caricatured objects made of stone, wood, ceramics and iron. This makes the garden as a whole unique in the German-speaking world.

Open-air gallery
The heart of the Caricature Garden is the open-air gallery, where changing artists exhibit their work on an ongoing basis.
