Kreuzberg Kleinschweinbarth
Scenic lookout
Description
The Kreuzberg towers 337 meters above the gently rolling hills of the Weinviertel. From the summit, you have a magnificent panoramic view of the neighboring Czech Republic, the surrounding villages of Drasenhofen, Kleinschweinbarth and Steinebrunn. The Falkenstein ruins can also be seen. The view of the Czech border town of Nikolsburg (Mikulov) is particularly impressive. The South Moravian Cross is located at the summit of the Kreuzberg, and there are other monuments in a small square slightly below. The Kleinschweinbarth hunting society has also built a chapel in honor of its patron saint. On the south side of the mountain there is a Hubertus Chapel, a small chapel dedicated to St. Hubertus of Liège, the patron saint of hunters, foresters and forest workers.
