Kunsthalle Krems
The Kunsthalle Krems is the international exhibition venue for contemporary art in Lower Austria. It exhibits art since 1945, with a focus on contemporary art. With the Dominican Church, Kunsthalle Krems gained an additional exhibition venue in 2017, which means that Kunstmeile Krems begins in front of the Steiner Tor and extends beyond the Kremser Tor and along Steiner Landstraße. The focus is on space-related projects in Gothic sacred architecture.

museumkrems
The former Dominican monastery is located right in the center of the old town of Krems, on the Körnermarkt. The museumkrems is located in the impressive monastery complex around the baroque inner courtyard and shows - in addition to a permanent exhibition on the history and culture of the Danube city - special exhibitions from its extensive museum holdings.
The museum's collection presentation is housed on the ground floor and in the newly adapted cellar rooms of the former monastery, while changing themed exhibitions are shown in the monks' former dormitory on the second floor.
The tour begins with the large model of Krems, which shows the town in the 18th century. Sculptures from different stylistic periods are presented in the cloister of the monastery. Other showrooms focus on the history of trade, viticulture and the development of the Krems bourgeoisie. One of the town's most famous sons, the Baroque painter Martin Johann Schmidt - known as the "Krems Schmidt" - is also honored in his own presentation.
It is not often that the name of a town is associated with a culinary product far beyond the region. Gourmets associate Krems on the Danube not only with "Krems wine", but also with "Krems mustard". According to the town's chronicles, mustard was first produced in Krems over 500 years ago. Since the middle of the 19th century, "Echte Kremser Senf", developed by the Krems-based company Hietzgern, has become an ambassador of good taste from Krems. The museumkrems is also dedicated to this product.
Opening hours: Mon-Sun 10:00-18:00 (April - October)
Forum Frohner
The Forum Frohner is a place to encounter and engage with contemporary art. The focus is on the complete works of Adolf Frohner, co-founder of Viennese Actionism and one of the most important Austrian artists with an international reputation. In changing exhibitions, it gives Frohner's work a home as a "living museum" in which his work is presented and contrasted with works by international artists.
Opening hours: Tue to Sun and Mon if public holiday 11 am to 5 pm
