Playground Breitenstein

At the playground on Untere Bahnstraße in Breitenstein, children can let off steam on the large wooden locomotive. In the old telephone booth next door, an open bookshelf with exciting reading material awaits avid readers of all ages. A cozy bench invites parents and accompanying adults to linger—ideal for browsing through a book while the children play.

This spot is particularly well suited as a short stopover on the railway hiking trail. The trail runs along the Semmering Railway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and offers an unforgettable natural and cultural experience for the whole family. The playground is located directly below the impressive railway tracks – an ideal place to watch trains pass by and take a break.
