Rossatz Apricot Mile

Description

Wandern und spazieren Sie durch die Marillengärten in Österreichs größter Marillenanbau-Gemeinde Rossatz-Arnsdorf.

In its capacity as largest producer, Rossatz-Arnsdorf called into being the “Rossatz-Arnsdorf Apricot Mile” in 2008. Here you find not only a system of lovely hiking trails through apricot orchards but also “apricot filling stations” (Marillen-Tankstellen). These stations provide information on the locations of the most important Wachau fruit farms, where you can buy fresh fruit or delicious products made out of apricots.  Hike and walk through the lovely apricot orchards and apricot growers of Rossatz-Arnsdorf, a municipality that produces more apricots than any other in Austria.

The Apricot Mile runs from St. Johann through Oberarnsdorf to Hofarnsdorf and then on to Mitterarnsdorf and Bacharnsdorf. The Eastern Apricot Mile includes the towns of Rührsdorf, Rossatz and Rossatzbach whereas the Western Apricot Mile consists of the towns of St. Johann, Oberarnsdorf, Hofarnsdorf, Mitterarnsdorf and Bacharnsdorf. Stop at the Salettl in Oberarnsdorf and Vinothek Schreiber in Rossatzbach for detailed information on the Apricot Mile.
