Description

The St. Aegyder Museum of Local History is set up on the upper floor of the Museumsstadel of the Cultural and Museum Association. In our local history museum you can walk through the history of the village since about the 12th century. Embark on an exciting journey of discovery through more than 800 years of local history. Feel the everyday life and free time of yesteryear. Our museum of local history shows a part of the life and work in our beautiful upper Traisental in the last centuries.

Above all, the development of the wood and iron industry, as well as professions resulting from this, is given space, with the woodcutter playing a major role. You can also admire a fully furnished and functioning cobbler workshop. A "Kramerladen" with many almost forgotten details, a peasant "Stub'n", the work of the "housewife" in the kitchen and laundry complement the lovingly assorted arrangement.

Attached to the local museum is a special exhibition on the ground floor of the museum. It is changed every year.
