Charming municipal theater with the flair of large stages. Today's municipal theater is located in a former monastery church in Herzog-Leopold-Straße. The opening of the theater dates back to 1794. There is one of only three functioning Wagner curtains left in Europe, as well as an active, extremely rare revolving stage, and today the modernized theater, which has retained its historical charm, seats 624 spectators. The iron curtain was designed by the painter Wolfgang Hut. The repertoire ranges from children's theater to operettas. The theater can also be rented and special guided tours of the theater are offered for children.
