Description
The 388 meter high Waschberg is located in the municipalities of Leitzersdorf and Niederhollabrunn in the district of Korneuburg in Lower Austria.
The Waschberg is located in the Natura 2000 area. The summit area is home to one of the last and few large semi-arid grasslands in the Weinviertel, and a colony of the endangered Austrian gopher has also settled here. For every guest, whether hiking or cycling enthusiasts, Nordic walkers or runners, there is an experience with rare plant species and a variety of insects.
Tours up the Waschberg
- Over the Weinviertel peaks
A two-day stage with a length of almost 35 km. Start from Mistelbach to Großrußbach via the highest elevation in the Weinviertel and on to the Waschberg. The tour ends in the town of Stockerau. - Michelberg tour
A mountain bike tour starting from Stockerau railroad station to Bruderndorf, Niederhollabrunn, continuing along the Way of St. James to the Michelberg and Waschberg. Via Leitzersdorf back to Stockerau. (Duration approx. 3.5 to 4 hours)
