Hoes, axes and hatchets once made their way from here into the wide world. The sparks of the glowing iron, the pounding of the hammers and soot-blackened faces left their mark on the region for centuries. Today, the restored hammer mill is used for blacksmithing demonstrations and amateur blacksmithing courses.
