Our Hiking Tours
We hike through the Waldviertel over hill and dale, through meadows and forests, with our alpacas and visitors on leashes.
Requirements: Anyone who can walk over rough and smooth terrain, from toddlers to seniors. Aids such as strollers and walkers are, of course, just as welcome.
Duration: 1.5–2 hours
Number of participants: 2 or more
Clothing and what to bring: Since we’ll be walking over rough and smooth terrain, through fields and meadows, we recommend sturdy shoes. A camera for the occasional alpaca selfie is also part of your hiking gear.
Prices & Dates: Depending on the size of the group, the price will be determined individually with you. Please call ahead to make a reservation so we don’t overwork our animals and can spend enough time with you.
Weather: In case of severe weather or heavy rain, we’ll need to reschedule. Although alpacas aren’t made of sugar, they’d rather stay in the barn when it rains.

About Us

We, the Hahn family, live on the farm that belonged to our parents and grandparents—a family-run business spanning many generations. In addition to cows and pigs, we’ve always been on the lookout for special animals. Something extraordinary—and we found it in our alpacas.
We have 90 alpacas and 6 llamas, making us one of the three largest alpaca farms in Austria. In 2025, we expect 10 baby alpacas.
The entire farm is also wheelchair accessible.
Since 2021, it’s also been possible to stay overnight at our farm. A new vacation apartment has been built/renovated. It can also be booked with breakfast included.
Price per night for the entire apartment starts at €85 without breakfast.
