Description
The Wieselburg brewery has stood for local brewing culture since 1770 and has developed over time from a small brewery to one of the largest breweries in Austria. The brewery's signature beer is the well-known Wieselburger Stammbräu with its distinctive swing-top bottle.
The Wieselburger Brauerei has been anchored in the region for centuries and is aware of its responsibility towards people and the environment: as an important employer in the region, it is a role model for regional commitment, sustainable management and protection of resources - for example by processing local raw materials and using a fully biological sewage treatment plant. The brewery is constantly taking measures to minimize its CO2 footprint and was awarded the Energy Globe in Lower Austria in 2015
