Description
In the centuries-old, restored Gurten vault, "high-proof delicacies" are created in the modern distillery using the double distillation process. Only fully ripe, hand-picked fruit and grain from the fields around the house is refined in the fruit and grain workshop. With numerous international awards (Destillata, Goldenes Stamperl, Gault Millau and À la Carte), the distillery is one of the best in the country. The rarity, the Waldviertel oat and spelt whisky, has achieved international fame. A rich selection of top-class distillates and liqueurs awaits you in the ambience of the nostalgic vaults. Those interested have the opportunity to watch the distillation process by telephone appointment.
The Weidenauer distillery is a member of the AWA (Austrian Whisky Association).
