Description
Two impressive lime trees stand on a panoramic hill near Eschenau. It is no longer possible to determine their exact age, but it is estimated to be between 600 and 700 years old. The trunks are hollowed out and you can even climb into the crown of one of the two trees. Between the two trees is a small pond, also known as the "Eternal Tear". The name is no coincidence: The "Eternal Tear" never dries out due to the loamy, dense soil.
This place truly has a special magic and invites you to linger and marvel.
The two lime trees can be reached after a 20-minute walk from Eschenau (Sonnleitgraben 7, follow the signs to Geisheben).
