On a hike accompanied by donkeys, you can switch off and forget the time. The animals help you to escape the daily grind and enjoy the idyllic Waldviertel landscape away from the stress and hectic pace of life in the presence of your faithful companions.
At the beginning you will get to know the donkeys and be instructed on how to lead, motivate and understand the animals - because hiking requires a good mix of motivation and leadership quality, simply pulling and tugging at the animals is no good at all. The donkey has a mind of its own. It will faithfully accompany you, but also challenge you and draw your attention to many things that you would not pay attention to yourself. The donkeys' leisurely pace gives you enough time to explore the flora and fauna along the way and makes the hike an unforgettable experience.

Robert Wagner and his team offer a wide range of tours, from one-hour donkey walks, which are particularly suitable for families, to donkey hikes and day tours - you are sure to find something to suit you. You can find more information about the tours at www.eselwanderungen-waldviertel.at.
There is a special children's program for children under the age of eight, as experience has shown that the little ones' feet don't last that long. A slow walk of around half an hour ends with another half hour of donkey cuddling in the paddock. Stroking and feeling the fluffy animals is a special experience, and not just for the children.
