Description

The Lower Austrian (NÖ) open-air museum was built in the 1970s. It comprises 20 old farm buildings and objects, mainly from the Mostviertel region, which have been faithfully reconstructed.

What is there to see, among other things?

  • House mill with water wheel and bone stamp
  • Troadkasten
  • Rural farmstead in wooden logs with smoke kitchen
  • Granary
  • Tool shed
  • Tractors and implements
  • Cider presses
  • ...and much more

Location:
The open-air museum is located in the center of the town in the Weißpark (next to Bahnhofstraße and the Haus der Musik). It is easily accessible and also suitable for wheelchair users with an accompanying person.

If you arrive by car, please use the parking lot at the fairgrounds.

Admission:
This small park with its traditional buildings can be visited free of charge at any time.

Medicinal herb garden:
In the NÖ. Freilichtmuseum has a medicinal herb garden with plants from our homeland.

Weekly market:
A weekly market is held every Saturday from 8 am to 12 noon, where regional products can be purchased.
