Slavic fortifications from the 10th century in Thunau, which were already richly populated in prehistoric times. After the construction of the Babenberg residence under Margrave Leopold II, the Gertrud Church was built on the lower terrace of the castle hill, combining all styles from Romanesque to Baroque. You should take a look at the seven stained glass windows, the most important art treasures from the 14th century, which depict the legends of St. Gertrude and St. John.
