Please note:
Due to renaturation work on the March (creation of natural river banks and the connection of oxbow lakes), all recreational traffic on the river will be severely restricted in the period from 01.06.2026 to 31.03.2027 (planned construction period) in the section below the bridge in Hohenau to the mouth of the Zaya (March km 67.0 - 60.5). Navigating this area with canoes, kayaks, rafts, stand-up paddles, etc. is extremely dangerous during the construction period and therefore not possible!
